We finally finished our warm and cool colour quilts!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The art project started off with a discussion of what warm and cool colours are and how different colours can make us feel different ways.  Then we talked about designs and how different lines and dots can go together. Then it was time to paint a warm circle and a cool circle.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Once dry, students cut the circles into quarters. Yes, we introduced the vocabulary, “half” and “quarter”. Then, students moved the pieces around and glued them to a white square.  We put the squares together, created a border and a beautiful group art project was completed!
