Once again my class is hosting the Holiday Post Office!  This is a project that we run for the whole school.  Every classroom is assigned an address.  Our address is 119 Candy Cane Lane, Tiny ON L0L 2T0.  Most classes have put mailboxes outside of their classroom and the Central Mailbox has been put in a location accessible to all.  For the next 2 weeks classes will engage in letter writing activities, writing letters to friends and staff throughout the school.  My grade 3 Post-Elves, sort and deliver the mail each day.

It’s a great opportunity for students to not only engage in  real-world application of writing, but to also develop a sense of responsibility and leadership!
