A Record of Lost Items

This activity started with students examining a list of items that were lost at a school. They talked about the different attributes the objects had and decided on categories to use to sort the data. Some students discovered that they needed to add categories to be sure that everything fit into a category.
Next, they created a bar graph to display the data. Students talked about the purpose of a graph as well as how to read a bar graph.
Lastly, students published their work on a shared Google Slide and presented it to the class.
